The project
The SA ILUA Statewide Negotiations process has been established to develop template ILUAs and negotiate specific ILUAs across South Australia that will eventually lead to resolution of native title claims and improved social and economic outcomes for Indigenous communities.
Since the commencement of native title ILUA Negotiations in 2002 Ian Dixon has been the independent facilitator for the following ILUA negotiations, namely:
- Antakirinja Claim Group (Mineral Exploration)
- Gawler Ranges Claim Group (Mineral Exploration, Pastoral, Parks)
- Far West Coast Claim Group (Ceduna Keys Marina, Local Government, Minerals Exploration)
- Adnyamanthanha Claim Group (Mineral Exploration)
- First Peoples of the River Murray and Mallee Region (River Murray)
These Indigenous Land Use Agreements address key issues from each party's perspective and result in practical agreements.
Our role
We act as independent facilitators and process managers for the above negotiations and assist the parties to develop agreements that are practical and result in benefits to all parties.
'The expertise contributed to the (SA ILUA Statewide Negotiations) process by DIXON Partnership Solutions has been invaluable, both in the early stages where capacity development was essential and now when the substantive negotiations are gathering momentum.'
